“My love of dogs lead me to my dream job!”

Meet Cassidy

Cassidy grew up in rural Vermont surrounded by animals, her favorite being her childhood German Shepherd named Sable. She knew from a young age that she wanted to have dogs and give them a better life. After graduating college she adopted Deegan from a local rescue called Passion 4 Paws. From that point on she was determined to give him the best life! While Cassidy loves dogs more than anything, she has a variety of other interests including camping, sewing, kayaking, and painting.

Deegan’s Story

After hearing Deegan was in South Carolina, Cassidy and her boyfriend Travis lost hope that they would get him. Then on a Friday night at 6pm Cassidy received a call from Passion 4 Paws, they said Deegan was in transport coming to Vermont and would be here the next morning. They then asked if she could pick him up at 4am that day! Cassidy and Travis only had an hour to run to Petco to get the supplies they needed to welcome Deegan into Vermont and into his new home. Filled with too much excitement, they stayed up all night anticipating his arrival. At 4am when Deegan stepped off that transport van, it was love at first sight. Since then he has proven to everyone how amazing rescue dogs can be.

Meet Ryder

In May 2022 we added a new addition to the family, Ryder. All the way from St. Croix, this little island boy has blended into our family perfectly. He is extremely smart, fast, and sociable with other dogs. So far we’ve done FastCAT, introduced him to Dock Diving, and most recently started agility. We have so much to learn together, and I’m so excited to continue to build our relationship!
